Wait, that sounds like a beer commercial. Oh well, I like beer, so I’ll leave it alone. I’m not the best blogger in the world, simply because I’ve never kept a diary. Wish I had. But, I’ll give it whirl. Radio people talk better than they write…many times reading other people’s words…but I will do my best to keep you informed, albeit I can’t predict how often. I am the host of Spectrum West on Wisconsin Public Radio. It’s heard in West. Wisconsin each Friday from 5 to 6PM. 88.3 carries it and covers a lot of west and northwest WI. We also add 88.7 in the summer months and during the Holidays.
Spectrum West features one-on-one interviews with people involved the arts and humanities – those producing events here in WI and entertainers, authors, etc. who visit the many marvelous venues we have in our neck of the woods. I have the privilege of meeting and chatting with some very interesting folks…and will share some of what I learn along the way. And, let’s make this blog a two-way street – keep in touch and let us know what’s happening where you live as it pertains to music, art, literature and theater.
I can be reached at spectrumwest@wpr.org.
Right now, I have some interviews to edit for this week’s program, which features a Twin Cities band, The Galactic Cowboy Orchestra; composer Ethan Wickman and pianist Nicholas Phillips, who have a CD coming out; an impressionist appearing in Eau Claire; the Red Barn Theater awards, EC Chamber Orchestra and more. Thanks and keep in touch. I’ll do the same.
Here we go…
